The lovely Damaris. She was my second client referral. I like referrals, these clients seem to be the easiest to work with and please. Going in they already have a pretty good idea of how the session will be, the quality of images they will receive, and a good understanding of how I am in the studio.
Damaris had seen a couple of my first attempts at pinup. So she was interested in getting some pinup-style images. I explained to her that pinup is mostly about pre-session planning and post-work editing. I also let her know that I wasn’t a PhotoShop wiz and that the images would take me longer to deliver because they took much more work than my normal session. She was ok with all that so we set up a session.
Being my first client that interested mostly in pinup, I wanted to keep things as simple as possible. We didn’t go all out with retro wardrobe, props, etc. because I didn’t want to get in too far over my head. I’m so grateful that she was so understanding and was willing to lay down a foundation to start working on the pinup photography.
We started the session as I like to do all sessions. A few headshots to help relax the client and develop a workflow. Her headshots blew me away when I “chimped” in the camera monitor. Damaris is a natural beauty and that shows in her headshots. The headshots and her natural beauty still amaze me to this day. However, she has another amazing feature and that is her legs. Those legs inspire songs like “She’s Got Legs!” Enjoy the beautiful, leggy, pinup calendar girl, Damaris!
