I received an email one day from a young lady asking questions about modeling agencies. I wasn’t sure why she was reaching out to me because I didn’t have any experience with agencies. In her email, she stated that a guy approached her and wanted to sign her to a modeling agency. She was suspicious of the information he was giving her and was looking for advice. I suggested that she call me to set up a meet & greet.
Later in the day, I received a call from the young lady and she told me her name was Tawishanna. Tawishanna was a single mother of two and she was interested in modeling. She also shared with me she had done a couple of photo sessions with new photographers to help each other work on their crafts. When approached by the agency she was excited, but some issues didn’t feel right. Mostly, they wanted her to go to their photographer and have a portfolio made at her expense. The prices seemed high to her and the agency would not accept other photographers’ work. I agreed with her that something just was right, they were probably trying to scam her.
After talking with Tawishanna for about an hour she inquired about maybe a session with me. She had the modeling bug, but being a single mother of two she had to watch her finances. I enjoyed our conversation and she seemed like such a nice lady, I wanted to help her. So, let’s just say I made a deal she couldn’t refuse.
We set up a session and I told her to bring a few wardrobe changes and we would just wing a session after seeing what she did. Tawishanna was such a joy to work with and be around. A wonderful person who just lifts the spirits of all she’s around. We hope you enjoy the image of Tawishanna.
